Topic: FEAR NOT!

THEME SCRIPTURE:
Luke 8:41-42,49-50 KJV
[41] And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: [42] For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. [49] While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house , saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. [50] But when Jesus heard it , he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

MESSAGE:
Fear comes by hearing, just as faith also comes by hearing. When God wants to contact you, He does so through your faith, even if it’s as little as a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20). Likewise, when Satan seeks to gain access into your life, he does so through the fear generated in your heart as a result of the negative news you surround yourself with.

Jarius had sought the help of Jesus to come and heal his daughter who was almost dead due to ill-health. Jesus agreed to go with Jarius, but was interrupted on His way to Jarius’ home by a woman whose touch of faith brought her healing (Luke 8:43-48).

While Jesus delayed in reaching Jarius’ home, one of the servants of Jarius brought Jarius the news, that the child was dead. Jesus’ immediate response to Jarius was, “Fear not...”

The Greek Word translated, “Fear not” literally means, STOP THE FEAR!
Jesus is saying the same thing to you today, that, stop the fear before it gains access into your heart. Once fear enters your heart, Satan would want to connect himself to you through that fear. So, stop the fear!

You may ask, “How do I stop the fear?” The answer is simple: build solid faith and walk in love. Where there’s faith and love, fear has no room to penetrate.

Romans 10:17 KJV
[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1 John 4:18 KJV
[18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

I pray that before fear would seek to enter your heart through any bad news or negative report, you would stop that fear by the shield of faith.

Ephesians 6:16 KJV
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Your faith is the victory, so, fear not!
