Topic: REJOICE IN THE LORD
Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
There isn’t enough human vocabulary to fully describe the joy of the Lord and what it does in the life of a child of God. Nehemiah says, the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Isaiah says, with joy shall we draw water out of the wells of salvation (Isaiah 12:3).
You see, there are wells of salvation planted in the heart of the child of God at new birth. The life and nature of God you received at salvation created these wells in you. All that we will ever need to live the victorious Christian life are in these wells as “water.” This is not ordinary water; it is the water of life!
To draw water from these wells of salvation, you need a receptacle; you need a “container” to do so; and the only container prescribed by Scripture is “joy!” We draw water from the wells of salvation with joy.
No wonder Satan aims at our joy more than anything whenever he attacks; because the joy of the Lord is our strength! When your joy is gone, your strength is gone! When your joy is taken away, you wouldn’t have any receptacle to draw water from the wells of salvation.
Writing from prison, with all the limitations of a prisoner, Apostle Paul still found reason to admonish the Philippians, with double emphasis, to rejoice in the Lord always!
Yes, if you want to remain victorious in the fight of faith; if you want to keep Satan under your feet, then, let nothing take away your joy! Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS - in both good and bad times, rejoice, and again I say, rejoice!
