Topic: Seek His Righteousness
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The ambition and desire of every human being, especially believers, is to please God and be accepted by Him. We are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things would be added to us (Matthew 6:32-33).
The majority of people in the world are pursuing the wrong things. Many seek pleasure, power and sometimes selfish purposes. There is nothing particularly wrong with seeking these things. However with many of such Christians, God does not feature in their agenda. Jesus Christ said that the Gentiles also seek these things.
The good news is that when we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, we will not have to seek for these things, but they shall be added to us. Many blessed Christians are being attacked by the world because they are blessed. What these critics don't realise is that these righteous people did not begin life seeking for wealth. Rather they sought the Kingdom of God, and God added the blessings to them. May God add to you His blessings.
1. Pray for the grace to do first things first - seeking the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness.
2. Pray that God will help you control your desires so that you can seek God's righteousness.
