Topic: STAY AFLOAT
Job 22:29 (KJV)
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
There’s one purpose for every storm the enemy brings your way - to drown you! Don’t take for granted the storms of life! Don’t play neutral and presume things will fall in their natural course. Things won’t change until you learn to use your tongue aright.
Your tongue is the steering wheel of your life; meaning, you’ll always go in the direction of your words. That’s why our theme Scripture instructs us that when men are cast down, don’t join them to sing that chorus; don’t tailor your language according to the unfavourable circumstance you might have found yourself. Rather, you’ve got to align your language with the truth of God’s Word concerning that situation or circumstance. So, when men are cast down, instead of joining them to say things like, “We’re Finished” or “There’s no hope;” say, “There is a lifting up!” Hallelujah!
Don’t forget that the storm that drowned the people who lived in Noah’s day, was that same storm that lifted the ark. If you’re in Christ, you’re in the ark; your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). There’s always the temptation to panic and live in fear when you see others being drowned by the storms of this life. But you’re different! You’re in the ark, so stay afloat. Don’t change your confession to align with the negative evidence you’re seeing around you. Rather, speak to that negative situation, and what you say is what will become!
Will you choose to stay afloat today?
