Topic: WHAT DO YOU SEE?
Psalm 36:9 (KJV)
For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.
It matters the kind of light you use at specific locations. The light used in a movie theatre, for instance, is different from the light used in a banking hall. There are different kinds of light and depending on which one you use at a specific location, you’d see differently.
Without the light of God’s Word, all you’ll see in this world is evil and darkness, because Galatians 1:4 describes this world as “present evil world.” This world is one big zone of gross darkness, yet in the midst of this darkness, God’s Word, which is our light, helps us to see the way forward.
What light are you using to view this world? With what light are you functioning in this world? If you use any other light other than the light of God’s Word, be assured that all you’d see would be evil. But from our theme Scripture, the Psalmist give us hope that in God’s light shall we see light.
Use the light of God’s Word to navigate your way through this world. For example, Psalm 33:5b (KJV)says, “...the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.” Did you see that? If not for the light of God’s Word, all you’’d see would be evil in the earth. But the light of God’s Word reveals, that, in the midst of the evil, the earth is FULL OF THE GOODNESS OF THE LORD! Hallelujah!
What do you see in the earth? It matters which light you’re using. Use the light of God’s Word, and you’ll see the goodness of the Lord. May you see goodness and mercy all the days of your life as you choose to function in the light of God’s Word.
