Time Management & the 21st Century Church By Cyril Hadzi

Time Management & the 21st Century Church
As we discussed in the previous articles, effective time management has improved attendance in very thriving churches and is also partly responsible for reduced patronage in other churches.
So we realise that, although Christians will not join other religions because of ineffective time management practises, they are certainly joining other ministries that are consciously managing time.
As far as time management is concerned, there are innumerable solutions or interventions. However, we shall consider a few.
Expectations are mainly based on information and therefore to effectively manage time, we must learn to communicate appropriately and promptly.
Due to time and space constraints, we shall mention a few interventions. A more comprehensive write up will be shared via a link within the shortest possible time.
But the following are some immediate interventions we may implement:
The duration of any event should be scheduled having in mind a com…

INSIGHT INTO THE FUTURE! BY DR KWAKU OBENG

A CALL TO MEDITATE - INSIGHT INTO THE FUTURE!
John 16:13;
"However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come....He will tell you things to come...".Dearly beloved,
God the Holy Spirit came to give you insight into your future.
This knowledge is essential for victorious living because it helps you prepare adequately for challenges and it gives you a superior advantage in life.Imagine that you were reading a comic or cartoon which has been artfully drawn on one large canvas.
Because you live in a three-dimensional world but the strip of canvas is two-dimensional, you would be able view the whole story depicted by the strip with one look. You could see how the story begins and ends just by looking at the canvas because you have an extra dimension the comic figures lack - the dimension of height!
Moreover if you were the one who drew the comic strip, knowledge of the story would surely be second nature to you!!!In the same vein, God is a Being who exists outside of time - In fact, He c…

UNRAVEL HIDDEN SECRETS  BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

31st October, 2018
IPR DAILY DEVOTION
Topic: UNRAVEL HIDDEN SECRETS
THEME SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV) For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
MESSAGE: How encouraging it is to know from our theme Scripture, that, even though no one understands you when you speak in an unknown tongue, in the realm of the Spirit, you’re speaking mysteries to God! The Greek word translated “mysteries” also means, “hidden secrets.”
This means we unravel hidden secrets whenever we’re communicating with God in unknown tongues.
Do you see the importance of praying in tongues? There are some things you’d never know until you access them from the realm of the Spirit; and it’s wonderful to know that speaking in other tongues is the key the Holy Spirit has given us to access that realm.
What are the hidden secrets of God concerning your spiritual life, marriage, ministry, career, business, finances,…

Theme: The Anointing
Topic: Results of the Structured Anointing
Scripture Reading:  Exodus 30:20-25
Main Text:  Ephesians 4:11-12 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
The structured anointing SAVES the soul. It meets our needs without moral and spiritual complications that result in the loss of souls. It is dangerous to patronise any anointing that ultimately leads to the loss of your soul. Salvation of the soul is more important than healing and prosperity.
The structured anointing SATISFIES our needs. It does not deceive believers by making them chase mirages that have no solution to their problems. It does not make promises in prophecy that are not fulfilled. The structured anointing keeps us in the will of God and obtains God’s approval. God backs this anointing with miracl…

1 Corinthians 13:1 (NKJV)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.MESSAGE:
Even though our theme Scripture reveals a very deep truth about speaking in other tongues, that truth can easily be glossed over, simply because of the way some Christians approach the Scriptures with already formed prejudices. For some, all they see in the above Scripture is “love” and therefore consider every other revelation as irrelevant. But that’s not the way to study the  Scriptures. This is also not to downplay the importance of love; in fact, the chapter ends by showing that love is the greatest of all virtues. Thank God Romans 5:5 reveals that this love is poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit in us. Beyond the subject of love, 1 Corinthians 13:1 also reveals that we’re either speaking the tongues of men or of angels whenever we speak in othe…

There is an increase in the desire of believers today to walk in the anointing but if we don’t take personal responsibility in activating the anointing, we will be like the impotent man at the pool of Bethesda who was waiting for someone to carry him into the water (John 5:1-9).One of the purposes of the fivefold ministry is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT! BY DR KWAKU OBENG

A CALL TO MEDITATE: THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!
Acts 5:3-4;
"But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” "Dearly beloved,
To build a satisfying relationship with the Holy Spirit, you must first get convinced that He is a person; not a thing. He isn't just any ordinary fellow - *The Holy Spirit, in Himself, is God. Our theme verses intimate this all important fact.
Notice Peter said Ananias had lied to the Holy Spiirt, and later repeated that he had lied to God and not man.
This simply pointed to the fact that the Holy Spirit is God;
He is a person - not wind or oil or water, which were used to symbolise His power and function.
Would it make sense to accuse a man of lying to an unliving, unconsciou…

THE TRANSPORTATION OF THE SPIRIT BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

2 Corinthians 13:14 (KJV)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.MESSAGE:
One of the root meanings of the Greek word translated “communion” in our theme Scripture is “transportation.” Thus, the verse could also read, “...the transportation of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”We learnt yesterday that we have access by the Holy Spirit to the Father. In other words, it is the Holy Spirit who transports us to the source of supply and gives us access to God’s provision. Can you imagine the Christian life without the communion of the Holy Spirit? Can you imagine how dull and ineffective our Christian life would have been without the Holy Spirit? How can you enjoy God’s provision without the Holy Spirit? What most Christians haven’t taken advantage of, is the need to engage the Holy Spirit in deep and prolonged communion…

Activating the Anointing by Exercising it By Rev Eastwood Anaba

Luke 19:12-26Main Text:
1 Timothy 4:8
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”Exercise is the secret of increase. Bodily exercise builds up the human body. In the same way, godliness or spiritual exercise is profitable in spiritual matters including the anointing. Exercise is the way to continuous possession of a gift or an ability. Anything you don’t exercise dies. Repeated use of a gift creates hunger for further giftings. Digestion precedes hunger. Until a person digests the food he or she eats and his or her body assimilates it, there is no way he or she will feel hungry for more food. Every gift of God must be used constantly to remain effective.Don’t use your gift occasionally but constantly. The anointing constitutes our life in the spirit.…

OUR ACCESS TO THE FATHER BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

28th October, 2018IPR DAILY DEVOTIONTopic: OUR ACCESS TO THE FATHERTHEME SCRIPTURE:
Ephesians 2:18 (KJV)
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.MESSAGE:
Apostle Paul was addressing the relationship both Jews and Gentiles have with Jesus. Through Jesus, both Jews and Gentiles have access to the Father. In other words, there’s no way God can become your Father without Jesus. But our theme Scripture reveals something else: both Jews and Gentiles have access BY ONE SPIRIT to the Father. This one Spirit is the Holy Spirit, of course. Meaning that, through Jesus, God becomes our Father; and it is in Christ Jesus alone that we receive the Holy Spirit who enables us to have access to the Father. There’s no way one can receive the Holy Spirit if He is not in Christ. Father, means “source.” God, the Father, is our source of everything and every provision we will ever need. We access this source BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.  What does that mean? It means, it is the Holy Spirit …

Activating the Anointing by going where the need is By Rev Eastwood Anaba

Psalm 137:1-7Main Text:
Matthew 14:14
“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.”The anointing is given to people by God to meet specific needs. If the recipient of the anointing is found in the right place and those who need the influence of the anointing are there, the anointing is activated. The needs of people have the power to generate compassion in us. Compassion is an expression of love and love is the life of the anointing. You cannot perform in the wrong place. The people of Israel could not find the anointing to sing the LORD’S song in a strange land. The Babylonians who were heathens did not need the songs of the children of Israel for edification. They were mockers who didn’t need the anointing of the songs of Israel. The people of Israel had the gift of worship. …

Philippians 3:2 (KJV)
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.MESSAGE:
A dog is a domestic animal that is friendly to those it lives with in a household, but can be dangerous to strangers and visitors. An alarming feature about dogs is when they become dangerous to those they were once friendly to. One reason why our theme Scripture warns us to beware of dogs, is that, there are those who may come around as friends but are dangerous to the human soul. Psalm 100:3 calls us the sheep of God’s pasture, but it isn’t everyone who joins us to feed together in church who may necessarily be sheep. Some are dogs; they may be friendly but dangerous to the sheep, and you’ve to beware. One characteristic feature of a dog is its tendency to vomit and later go back to eat its own vomit. Some dogs even go to the extent of enjoying the vomit of other dogs. That’s a mess, isn’t it? Proverbs 26:11 (KJV) sa…

Self-denial is necessary for activating the anointing. To be rich in the anointing you have to empty yourself of the self.A cross is a voluntary thing one takes upon oneself. Taking up a cross may not be an act that saves us but we must do it to retain the anointing. For instance, a person who desires high levels of the anointing must make great effort to live peacefully with everybody including his detractors. Failure to do so may not take us to hell if the disharmony is not our fault but our spirits wil…

MIND YOUR CONFESSION BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

26th October, 2018IPR DAILY DEVOTIONTopic: MIND YOUR CONFESSIONTHEME SCRIPTURE:
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.MESSAGE:
The tongue doesn’t only distinguish between sweet, bitter and sour tastes with its  taste buds; it can also produce death or life depending on your confession. It matters what you say, and that’s why you must mind your confession. A seed is sown through your mouth whenever you make a confession with the use of your tongue. If it’s the right confession in line with the Word of God, then, life is sown. If it’s the wrong confession, then, death is sown. As you keep making the same or similar confessions, whether right or wrong, you’re watering the seed sown. It’s just a matter of time; that seed will soon germinate into a seedling, and the seedling will ultimately become a tree with branches, leaves and flowers. There’s nothing anyone can do once the tree bears fruit; because you’ll e…

BURNING HOT! BY DR KWAKU OBENG

A CALL TO MEDITATE: BURNING HOT!
John 5:35;
"He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light..."Dearly beloved,
As a light of this world, you "burn" by exuding and radiating the very nature and power of God.
Your presence alone can herald so much peace, love and joy that without saying a word or performing an action others experience God in a unique way through you.To burn hotter and hotter as a lamp, you must first understand two basic facts:
1. Your recreated spirit man already has the very nature, likeness and virtues of God! (Eph 4:24)
2. Your recreated spirit man already houses the very power of God (Acts 1:8, 2 Cor 4:7)Because your spirit man already has these characteristics, as you grow and develop him you would begin to radiate more of the nature and power of God!!God Himself now fully dwells in you and your spirit-man was reborn with His nature.
Therefore, you have the potential to express His full nature, manifest…

Being alone with God studying and resting with meditation on the Word of God revitalizes the human spirit. One could have the anointing, but if one’s spirit is not restored and strengthened through rest and meditation, his or her spirit cannot bear the demands of the anointing. To be alone with God is no easy matter. Time Management & the 21st Century Church. Why are they leaving? By Cyril Hadzi

Time Management & the 21st Century Church. Why are they leaving?

Once upon a time in the life of King Saul, he faced a situation where he had to wait for the arrival of the Prophet of God to offer a sacrifice before he could engage his enemies. Long story short; Prophet didn't show on time, the army was dispersing, the king behaved contrary to the will of God.
1 Samuel 13:8,11 KJV And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed : but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;
For several decades, we have heard amazing teachings from this scripture; teaching us to obey God above all things. And this has blessed and shaped our lives for the better.
We have however failed to recognise one crucial thing God …

Romans 8:32 (NKJV)
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?MESSAGE:
What does it mean when Scripture says, God did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all? Do you remember Jesus in Gethsamane? The battle of the Cross was first won in Gethsamane, because it was in Gethsamane that Jesus chose to submit His Will to that of the Father. If Jesus had chosen to do His own Will, it still wouldn’t have been sin against the Father, because He offered Himself out of His own volition; it was a free Will offering of Himself. In Gethsamane, Jesus was faced with the decision of drinking from the cup of iniquity; He was to drink our iniquity into His spirit. This was what He dreaded; the man who knew no sin was going to have sin heaped into His spirit. You have no idea what that meant to Jesus. You have no idea the price He ha…

In the next few studies, we shall be looking at some guiding principles to activating the anointing.  The first key to activating the anointing is fasting and prayer. The life of Jesus Christ provides fasting and prayer as a key factor for enhancing the anointing. Jesus Christ set the example of fasting and prayer during His earthly life. Time Management & the 21st Century Church  By Cyril Hadzi

Time management excellenceis now a major distinguishing factor between thriving and mediocre 21st century churches.

One major asset or resource that has been abused in many parts of the world is time.
Time, although very valuable has been underutilised or used for things that do not add value.
The secret of most thriving 21st century churches lies in their ability to deliver value added, spirit filled church services within optimal time.
This is based on the premise that effective services must not necessarily be unnecessarily long. For instance, churches which used to hold one 6-hour services have evolved to holding 3 2-hour services, achieving three times more what they used to achieve once in six hours.
Most church administrations plan to execute their activities within a specified time frame, only to realise they have exceeded the time by at least 50%.
A review of a generic church service will reveal the "little foxes that destroy the vine".
Although most effective churches h…

As Christians, it’s amazing how God has designed our lives such that nothing happens to us for nothing; whatever we go through is a means to a greater end, to achieve God’s eternal purposes. In our theme Scripture, God is referred to as the God of all comfort. He’s called the God of all comfort because He comforts us in all our tribulations. John 5:35;
"He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light..."Dearly beloved,
The believer is in essence a light to this world (Matt. 5:14).
According to John 12:36, by believing in Jesus, you were regenerated and gained His nature of Light.
That is why the Bible calls you a child of Light (Eph. 5:8).
God is also called the Father of lights in James 1:17 because we, as lights, are His children!Light symbolically stands for illumination, direction and insight.
Therefore, as a believer(a light) you have been ordained to show this dark world the way back to God.
You have been called to bring insight and illumination where there is confusion and ignorance!
By doing this, you SHINE brighter and brighter as a light!!However, as light, you were also made to BURN!

“But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.”The exaltation of God helps create the right atmosphere for the dispensing of the anointing and power of God. When we exalt or magnify God, we are not magnifying His personality, because God cannot increase or change. When we magnify God, He is magnified in our souls and hearts which have the tendency to limit Him. The rationale here is that God is exalted to His rightful place in our hearts.God performs mighty acts when He is worshipped and praised. The gifts of the Holy Ghost are released within an atmosphere of worship. It takes some gifts of the Holy Ghost to make other gifts active. No gift can operate all by itself. It's of unparalleled importance to picture yourself in God's Word when you read and study it.
Always desire to know how what you are reading applies to you and then see yourself walk in it.In our theme scripture, James compares a hearer of the Word to a person that observes himself in a mirror.
However, because he doesn't continue looking, and also doesn't register what he looks like - He leaves and forgets the image he saw of himself.

The disposition of the heart (mood, feeling) constitutes a major part of the atmosphere for performance. Faith, love, joy, righteousness and obedience release the flow of the Spirit. Lust, unrenewed mind, lying, laziness and filthy communication hinder the Holy Ghost. These things grieve the Holy Ghost. The word decor embraces such things as colour scheme, decoration, furnishing and ornamentation. God makes all things beautiful. He created man in His own image with the power to appreciate and admire beauty. The word beautiful in Ecclesiastes 3:11 means goodly, pleasant, well, fair or comely. Or, what do you think could happen to a soldier at a war front who decides to sleep while his fellow soldiers are engaged in a heated battle? The discipline of a soldier is that, once he is enlisted into the army, he is no longer a civilian, and hence can no longer entangle himself in civilian affairs, how much more, at a war front? This is the same mentality God would want us to have, and therefore the reason for our theme Scripture. We’re to please God who has enlisted us into His Army by living a disciplined life, bearing in mind that we’re at war with unseen forces. The danger about the Christian warfare is that we dwell right in the midst of the enemy, even thoug…

The Force of Unity By Rev Eastwood Anaba

THE WORD SIROCCO
Saturday, October 20, 2018Theme: The AnointingTopic: The Force of UnityScripture Reading:
Psalm 133:1-3; Matthew 18:19-20Main Text:
Psalm 133:1
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”Today, we are looking at the force of unity as one of the factors which produce a good atmosphere for the anointing and ministry. The purpose of the move of the Holy Ghost is primarily to affect the lives of people. If there’s nobody there to receive the blessing, God doesn’t have to move. The Holy Ghost touches individual lives as well as groups of people. If the number of people He touches are many, there is likely to be an explosion of power. Crowd effect is important for the manifestation of the anointing but the crowd must have unity in the Spirit. Unity is an important feature of structure.Psalm 133:1-3 touches on the subject of the unity among brethren in a vivid way. Jesus Christ said that where two or three are gathered in His Name, He i…

A GOOD SOLDIER OF JESUS CHRIST BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

19th October, 2018IPR DAILY DEVOTIONTopic: A GOOD SOLDIER OF JESUS CHRISTTHEME SCRIPTURE:
2 Timothy 2:3 (NKJV)
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.MESSAGE:
Our theme Scripture reveals the Mind of God concerning the New Creation - we’re soldiers of Jesus Christ. It’s not all of us who are good soldiers, anyway. The first trade mark of a good soldier is his/her ability to endure - our theme Scripture says, “...endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
The word translated “hardship” is translated “hardness” in the King James Version of the Bible. Hardness is a more preferred rendering of the root word. What does it mean to “endure hardness”? It means, to be able to withstand pressure. It means, having the ability to persevere in the midst of difficulty. It means, to have the inner fortitude and resilience to accommodate all manner of pain. It means, having the ability to stay afloat; not drowning with others in the midst of the storms of life. W…

The Worthiness of a place By Rev Eastwood Anaba

THE WORD SIROCCO
Friday, October 19, 2018Theme: The AnointingTopic: The Worthiness of a placeScripture Reading: Matthew 10:5-15Main Text:
Matthew 10:11
“And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence”In the next few studies, we shall examine some of the factors which produce a good atmosphere for the anointing and ministry. These factors influence productivity in general, whether in the church or in secular outfits. Today, we shall discuss the worthiness of a place. When preachers or believers go into a place to minister they are not supposed to live in just any
house. The house must be worthy to receive them. Jesus Christ instructed His disciples to seek worthy houses and live there while they were on their missions. Several factors might have contributed to Him prescribing this mode of operation. The word “worthy” in the above scripture reference is the Greek word “axios” which means deserving, suitable or due reward. ROOTED IN CHRIST (II) BY DR KWAKU OBENG

A CALL TO MEDITATE: ROOTED IN CHRIST (II)
Colossians  2:7;
"Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted [in Him, fixed and founded in Him], being continually built up in Him, ..." (AMP)Dearly beloved,
Deep extensive roots, like strong building foundations, offer both support and stability.
Thus, it is essential to be well rooted in Christ as a believer.Considering support, a man aiming to build a skycraper would lay a stronger, more extensive foundation than one planning to build a two-storey apartment.
A weak foundation limits the height to which you can build.
Likewise, if you aim to go far in the Christian faith, you would have to grow good strong roots in Christ first.Spend time to grasp and understand the simple truths of the Word for yourself.
A weak grounding in simple biblical truths would predispose you to erring in the course of time and your faith may inevitably flounder.
A poor foundation now can also lead to misuse of spiritual giftings and divine offic…

DON’T COMPROMISE YOUR CONVICTIONS BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

18th October, 2018IPR DAILY DEVOTIONTopic: DON’T COMPROMISE YOUR CONVICTIONSTHEME SCRIPTURE:
2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV)
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.MESSAGE:
After Apostle Paul had instructed Timothy to preach the Word, he went further to instruct him to be INSTANT in season and out of season. To be instant, is to be PERSISTENT and UNCOMPROMISING! Regardless of the season you might have found yourself in, as a child of God, you should not compromise your convictions. Let your yes be yes, and your no, no! Irrespective of the changing scenes of life, be known for your convictions and how you do not compromise those convictions. If a situation requires reproof, do so in love; if that situation requires rebuke, rebuke in love, and don’t compromise. Where you need to exhort, do so with all long-suffering and doctrine. That’s who a Christian is - being instant in season and out of season! Don’t forget that your li…

Discard the tendencies of the Flesh By Rev Eastwood Anaba

Theme: The Anointing

Topic: Discard the tendencies of the Flesh

Scripture Reading:
John 6:61-64

Main Text:
John 6:63
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

God’s power, the anointing and grace is always available for believers to access. However, as we have discussed variously, there are certain things that stand as stumbling blocks to access them. Believers must endeavour to discard the tendencies of the flesh and follow the ways of the Holy Ghost.

The flesh is anything in us that limits us to human reasoning, inflates us with doubt and intoxicates us with carnal desires. The flesh blocks us from accessing the anointing of the Holy Ghost. It uses intellect and pride to reject God’s ways of imparting the anointing. The flesh renders the staff and the mantle of God ineffective.

Gehazi could not unleash the power of the prophet Elisha’s staff probab…

ROOTED IN CHRIST (I) BY DR KWAKU OBENG

A CALL TO MEDITATE: ROOTED IN CHRIST (I)
Colossians 2:6-7
"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving..."Dearly beloved,
As a believer, you are set on a journey of continuous spiritual growth just as plants keep growing.
Your spiritual growth should not plateau as growth does in animals.Considering plant life, upon the germination of a seed the radicle(which evetually becomes the root) develops first.
It then grows downwards towards water and mineral salts which are essential for the reminder of the growth and development of the plant.
Also, to support the increase in bulk that occurs with growth, a plant will need a very strong and extensive root system.According to Col. 2:6-7, the believer first gets rooted, before being built up and established in the Christian faith.
It shows that just as pertains to plants, developing roots prece…

PREACH THE WORD! BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

17th October, 2018IPR DAILY DEVOTIONTopic: PREACH THE WORD!THEME SCRIPTURE:
2 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJV)
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; [2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.MESSAGE:
The message the Holy Spirit gave Timothy through Apostle Paul, is the same message given to you and me today - Preach The Word! To preach is to broadcast; to spread or make known; to noise abroad. You cannot preach the Word if the Word hasn’t become an integral part of you; what is in you is what will come out of you. Meaning, to preach the Word, you must live in the Word, and the Word must live in you. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly...”
When you’re filled with the Word, you’ll find yourself sharing that Word wherever  you go, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Preaching th…

God chooses whom He uses By Rev Eastwood Anaba

THE WORD SIROCCO
Wednesday, October 17, 2018Theme: The AnointingTopic: God chooses whom He usesScripture Reading:
Acts 9:10-28Main Text:
Acts 2:12
“He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.”The history of the Church is replete with people whose personalities and backgrounds were not impressive, yet God used them. People leave God with no right to choose when they pray. They think God must operate within their limited scope of understanding. The manna was God’s answer to the hunger of the Israelites and the Holy Ghost was the fulfilment of God’s promise to satisfy the thirst of believers, but these provisions were met with doubt and resistance. Believers exhibit the same attitude towards various people and means God uses to meet their needs. They doubt the vessels God uses, the methods He employs and the provisions He gives.  A disciple of Jesus Christ by name Ananias rejected the apostle Paul initially after his conversion…

PRESS ON! BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

16th October, 2018IPR DAILY DEVOTIONTopic: PRESS ON!THEME SCRIPTURE:
Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
[13] Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.MESSAGE:
There’s a lot to learn from Apostle Paul when it comes to running the Christian race. In our theme Scripture, we discover one of the secrets of Apostle Paul’s success in life and ministry - he never considered himself to have arrived until he finished his race. If we’re  to keep our focus and run the Christian race well, we ought to do what Apostle Paul calls, “this one thing.” And what was that? He said, he forgot those things which were behind; and I believe they included both successes and failures.
We also ought to do the same thing, by not staying in past glories nor past failures; by forgetting those things which are b…
