Topic: ARE YOU A CONDUCTOR OR AN INSULATOR?
Isaiah 59:1-2 (KJV)
Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
God has always sought for a man to stand in the gap, but it matters who responds to do so, whether the individual is a “conductor” or an “insulator.”
An electric conductor is any substance that has the capacity to conduct or transmit electricity. A substance that does not conduct electricity is called an insulator.
According to our theme Scripture, once you choose to stand in the gap between heaven and earth, sin or iniquity must not be entertained. You cannot be in the midst of ants and still attempt to remove ants that might have climbed up on you. God’s Hand is not shortened that it cannot save, but sin will make you an “insulator.”
God delights in the prayer of the righteous, because when the righteous stands in the gap, he becomes a “conductor” through whom God’s Will is transmitted.
If we have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, then we should do right, by not entertaining sin! We have the capacity to stand in the gap, and so, God is counting on you and me. That’s why I asked whether you are a conductor or an insulator.
