Topic: IF THE ROOT IS NOT IN YOU...
Revelation 1:5 (KJV)
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
Our Lord Jesus washed us from our sins in His own blood. What does that mean? Remember, when Adam sinned, not only did he lose his authority over the earth; he also inherited the sin nature and passed this nature through his seed, to all his descendants. That’s why Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”
Sin is the nature of the devil; it is the root, the source and the cause of every evil and every negative experience. Apart from Jesus, we all inherited this nature by virtue of the fact that we all came through the Adamic lineage. But God made Christ to be sin for us, who knew no sin, and when He shed His blood, He made provision for us to be washed from our sins. Once you believe, what Christ did for humanity becomes your personal experience.
Are you a believer? Have you believed the gospel and confessed the Lordship of Jesus over your life? Then, sin, which is the root of all evil is not in you! Therefore sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14). If the root is not in you, then the fruits MUST NOT be on you or with you! The fruits of sin are poverty, sickness, disease, death and every negative experience humankind has ever suffered. This is the gospel!
If sin shall not have dominion over you, then its fruits shall not have dominion over you either. Tell yourself, “If the root is not in me, then the fruits must not be on me or with me.” Use this revelation to walk out of every negative experience you may be having. It’s your right in Christ!
