Theme: One Saint, One Soul
Topic: Soul Winning – The Gospel
“And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
Many have often said, “okay pastor, we have heard, we are ready to go, but what do we say, when we get there?” That is a very legitimate question. Yes, it is true that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to them that perish, but we cannot appear clueless before the people we want to evangelise, we must know exactly what to say.
The word gospel means “good news” and is explained by the following six key truths. (1) God created us for his glory. Isaiah 43:6–7. (2) Therefore every human should live for God’s glory. 1 Corinthians 10:31; Matthew 22:37; Romans 4:20. (3) Nevertheless, we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Romans 3:23; Romans 1:21–23. (4) Therefore we all deserve eternal punishment. Romans 6:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Matthew 25:46. (5) Yet, in His great mercy, God sent his only Son, Jesus Christ into the world to provide for sinners the way of eternal life. John 3:16; Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 3:18. (6) Therefore, eternal life is a free gift to all who will trust in Christ as Lord and Savior. Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9; Ephesians 2:8–9; Galatians 2:20
So the GOSPEL: God created us to be with Him; Our sins separate us from God; Sins cannot be removed by good deeds; Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again; Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life; and Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.
Pray that you will receive grace to master the GOSPEL Message and share it accordingly.
