Topic: Soul Winning – What a Privilege!
Scripture Reading
Acts 10:1-8
Main Text:
Isaiah 52:7
“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”
It is interesting to read in the scriptures that the dusty tired feet of the soul winner are described as beautiful. No amount of pedicure or manicure can make your feet beautiful if you are not a soul-winner. More privileged however, is the fact that even angels in their pure and powerful state do not understand the message of salvation. They only look at it with desire (1 Peter 1:11-12).
The account of Cornelius vision as per Acts 10:1-10 above reveals that the angel that appeared before him was not allowed to even mention the name of Jesus or speak to him about salvation. The angel appeared to give directions on whom to call to speak the word of salvation to him. You may wonder why the angel who declared that Cornelius was a devout man could not proceed to lead him to Christ. That privilege has not been extended to them. It is reserved for you and me.
Angels are purer, more refined, more fearful and more likely to be listened to, but God has not commanded them to GO. We are frail, fallible and imperfect, but yet God has bestowed on us this high and holy privilege to turn men unto righteousness. We are truly blessed.
Pray that God will beautify your feet as you go out there to win souls for Christ.
