Theme: One Saint, One Soul

Topic: That My House May be Filled

Scripture Reading:
Luke 14:16-24

Main Text:
Luke 14:23
“And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

It is true that where two or three are gathered, the Lord is there in their midst (Matthew 18:20). However, two or three in the church will constitute an abuse of God’s unlimited and infinite grace. That will also reveal our selfishness and irresponsiveness to God’s command for us to go. If we go into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, the house will be filled. If the house is not full, it means we are not going.

A living church, a growing church and an excited church will always be full. A church that has ears to hear what the Spirit is saying unto the churches (Revelations 2:29) is a living church. However, a church that is responsive to the command to GO, and actually goes, is a growing church. A growing church grows in knowledge, in the grace of God, in faith and in love (Colossians 2:6-7).

An excited church is a lively church where worshippers respond to God with purpose. An excited church bears fruits that remain (John 15:16).

Prayer:
Pray for your church, that it will be a living church, a growing church and an excited church.
