SUNDAY JANUARY 6

BE AN INSTRUMENT FOR GOD TO USE

Then said he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray you, therefore, the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

MATTHEW 9:37-38

One day, I heard about a certain country that had banned people from going on evangelism, and that nobody should win souls. All these are signs that we are living in the last days. They are trying to ban all Pentecostals and charismatic, but nobody has ever fought the church and won; not Pharaoh, not King Nebuchadnezzar, not even King Herod could stop the church. Jesus Christ said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matt 16:18) so, anyone who tries to be a gate of hell against the church will certainly not prevail.

This is why it is not enough for us to come to church, and be looking for breakthroughs; we must also make ourselves available as instruments for God to use. God will continue to use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise (1 Cor. 1:27). Sometimes, we need to move away from ‘Lord, I want this, I want that’ and tell Him that ‘Lord, if you can use anything, then use me also’. The greatest blessing you can ever enjoy is when you are an instrument in the hands of God. Because of you, somebody can be born again; because of you, someone can be saved; because of you, someone can be healed; because of you, someone can be delivered. Jesus said, “Those who want to keep their lives will lose it and those who are losing their lives for the sake of the kingdom will gain it (Matt 10:39).  Avail yourself today and be an instrument in the hands of God. God bless you ..
