FOUR WAYS TO EASILY MAKE (NOT INHERIT) ENEMIES (HATERS & DETRACTORS) BY S. K. Fianko-Larbi

FOUR WAYS TO EASILY MAKE (NOT INHERIT) ENEMIES (HATERS & DETRACTORS)
1. When we offend insecure people or their loved ones without making amends (eg Amnon and Absalom)
2. When people overly praise us in the presence of insecure people (eg David and Saul)
3. When insecure people feel threatened by can't the magnificent grace of God upon our lives (eg Isaac and Abimelech)
4.When we boast about our dreams in the presence of insecure people (eg Joseph and his brothers)

SACRIFICE OF ELEVATION BY PROPHET AKWESI AGYEMANG PREMPEH

SACRIFICE OF ELEVATION

1Samuel 1:11
And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, an

Hannah introduced a vow in her prayer and this was an unusual element to the yearly routine business in Shiloh. The custom was to pray, worship and give a token offering to God. She called on God on the strength of her vow to look with mercy and compassion her afflictions.  Hannah promised to give back to God the long awaited son when he comes.  This isn’t a light promise.  She had spent most of her life time believing God for the fruit of the womb.  Most people, won’t want to part with such a child when it finally comes.
Vows are powerful sacrifices in the sight of God. Vows that are redeemed unlock the heavens. After fulfilling the vow, God visited Hannah and she bare thr…

SPEECH BY BISHOP DAG HEWARD-MILLS

SPEECH23rd March 2019READ: Psalm 19:14“Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” - Proverbs 18:21When we talk about death, we imagine standing by graves weeping and sobbing our hearts out. Can you believe that the tongue apparently  controls  this terrible thing called death? You can speak either “death” or “life” into your life. You can also speak either death or life into your marriage. If your marriage is dying, decide to speak life into it. Say positive things about your spouse. You are speaking life into your marriage. There are some pastors who speak death into their ministries and churches by complaining about one thing or the other. I do not complain about the ministry. I consider it a privilege to be a minister.A pastor’s wife once said mournfully to her husband, “Now that we are in the ministry, we have no privacy. The church members think that everything comes directly from the offering. We have lost our self-respect.” I said to her, “Do not com-plain about the ministry…

HAVE THE GOD KIND OF FAITH – 2 BY PROPHET NANASEI OPOKU-SARKODIE

The Potters GuideProphet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie
SATURDAY MARCH 23
HAVE THE GOD KIND OF FAITH – 2
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.1 CORINTHIANS 2:5
What is the God kind of faith?1. The God kind of faith says it before seeing it. Jesus opened his mouth to curse the fig tree before the tree died. If Jesus had said nothing, the tree would have continued to live. The reason you are not operating the God kind of faith is that you are afraid to speak. The other reason is that you doubt, “What if I say it and nothing happens?” My question to you is what if you say it and something happens? When Peter and John met the lame man sitting at the gate called beautiful, they didn’t even pray to God; all Peter said was “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have I give you, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). That was the God kind of faith. 2. The God kind of faith is not in the mind but in the heart. “Verily I say unto…

GOD WILL MAKE A WAY BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH

GOD WILL MAKE A WAY#SamKorankyeAnkrah
One of the central themes of the Word of God is how God turns impossibilities into realities. There are many miracles in scripture that testify to this. Again, Jesus taught us this great lesson:
"Jesus looked at them intently and said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible."Matthew 19:26 (NLT)
Jesus compares two view points: the view of men and that of God. Man's judgement is based on trends, current facts, experiences and statistics. God's view is different. He goes beyond our limitations to cause His plans and purposes to come to pass; hence, you can trust Him.
I've been in dire situations where my human mind concluded that there was little left to be done, yet I always committed the matter into God's hands and He always came through for me.
Hear this great prophecy from God:"I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into …

Main Text:
Acts 4:33-34
33  And with great  power gave the apostles witness of the  resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were  possessors of lands or houses sold  them, and brought the  prices of the things that were sold,

As a Christian, and as the  Body of Christ, Acquisition of and growth in POSSESSIONS is mandatory. Not mandatory for selfish reasons or greed, but for the touching of lives, and affecting of destinies. One quality of the early Church at the time Great Grace was released, and Great Power unleashed upon it, is that they had many who were possessors of lands and houses.

The early Church was able to touch the lives of the needy because they had possessions and houses to sell, for distribution to be made to all. The tribe of Israel was preserv…

WE MUST TAME DEATH BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

IPR DAILY DEVOTION

Topic: WE MUST TAME DEATH

THEME SCRIPTURE:

Song of Solomon 8:6 (NKJV)

Set me as a seal upon your heart,

As a seal upon your arm;F Forlove is as strong as death,

Jealousy as cruel as the grave;

Its flames are flames of fire, A most vehement flame.

MESSAGE: Loveis as strong as death! This means, love and death weigh equally on the same scale. In a boxing bout, for instance, opponents of equal weight are paired together. You don’t pair a heavy weight boxer with a feather weight boxer; that’d be a mismatch. Love is as strong as death means, the best match for death is love.

From our previous devotion, we learnt that death has been defeated but not yet destroyed; the destruction of death is when it shall be cast into the lake of fire. Knowing that its destruction is near, death is on rampage, in a desperate search for gullible victims. If we’re ever going to tame death and stop it from having a field day, we’ve got to walk in love. It’s only the love of God that ca…

We must grow up in our capacity to dispense human intervention. The story of the early Church teaches us to add helping the needy to our spirituality. When the number of believers grew, the apostles committed themselves to prayer and the Word - spirituality - and still have the needed attention to the material sustenance of the needy by setting people over those issues (Acts 6:1-4).Some well meaning believers have spiritualised th…

Spiritual Plagues! By Kakra Baiden

KAKRA BAIDEN: AIR POWER DEVOTIONAL
Spiritual Plagues!A plague can be defined as a disastrous evil or affliction.A spiritual plague is caused by spirits.I once prayed for a family whose members were dying every year under mysterious circumstances. In the book of Job, Job lost ten members of his family because of a plague. Similarly, there are families who don’t marry, die young etc. because of this.
How can spiritual plagues be averted? Let’s examine a plague that afflicted Israel.Numbers 16:46-48“Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer and put incense in it, along with burning coals from the altar, and hurry to the assembly to make atonement for them. Wrath has come out from the Lord; the plague has started.” So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them. He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped.”Moses instructed Aaron to do three th…

AFFLICTION BY BISHOP DAG HEWARD-MILLS

AFFLICTION
22nd March 2019
READ:  Matthew 4:1-11
“Wherefore  have  we  fasted  … wherefore  have we afflicted our  soul…” - Isaiah 58:3
Fasting keeps the believer from backsliding.  In the Bible, the word  associated  with fasting is affliction. In fact, the word affliction can be interchanged with fasting. “Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep…” (James  4:9). “Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word” (Psalm 119:67). According to the  psalmist, one way you can afflict yourself  is by fasting. He said that before he fasted he went astray, but when he fasted, he was able to keep God’s Word and to stay on track. Christians who don’t fast often fall away  from Christ.
Then in Psalm 119:71, he says, “It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.” Affliction in that sense is not sickness. In this context God is saying that it is good for the Christian to fast.
Another word that is associated with fasting is humility. In James 4:10, the Word…

FRIDAY MARCH 22
HAVE THE GOD KIND OF FAITH – 1
For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?ROMANS 3:3
There is something called natural faith. For instance, if you are crossing the road and you see a car coming, something in your spirit will tell you that if you move, this car will knock you down. That is natural faith at work in you. In another instance, when you stand on a small chair, natural faith will tell you that, when you jump, nothing will happen to you; but if you stand on a story-building, natural faith will tell you that, as for this one, you will need a ladder; you don’t need to quote scriptures to jump. It is called natural faith.
Jesus was talking about us having the God kind of faith. Some of you have faith but it is not the God kind of faith. You operate a certain kind of faith, and when you do not get the results, you ask God why? The reason it didn't work is that, you did…

HELL AND DEATH IN HOT RETALIATION BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

22nd March, 2019
IPR DAILY DEVOTION
Topic: HELL AND DEATH IN HOT RETALIATION
THEME SCRIPTURE:Revelation 1:18 (KJV)I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
MESSAGE:Our theme Scripture reveals one of the greatest conquest of Christ when He died and descended to hell. Christ defeated hell and death; He disarmed principalities and powers (Colossians 2:15), and took the keys of hell and death.
To have the keys of hell and death means, Christ has the right to shut down the activities of hell and death; He has the right to determine the eternal fate of hell and death. Remember, we said, hell is a spirit, just as death is a spirit. Habakkuk 2:5 (NKJV) says, “Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, he is a proud man, and he does not stay at home. Because he enlarges his desire as hell, and he is like death, and cannot be satisfied...” Did you see that? As hell enlarges its desire, death cannot be satisfied! The more peo…

Contrary Instructions! By Kakra Baiden

KAKRA BAIDEN: AIR POWER DEVOTIONAL
Contrary Instructions!
Genesis 46:4
“I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.”

God gave Israel the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession. Abraham moved to settle in the land and both Isaac and Jacob kept the instruction. However in the time of Jacob, it seems God gave a contrary instruction.

A famine was ravaging the land, Joseph his lost son was now a governor in Egypt and responsible for all the grain and corn, which abounded in that land.

The Lord appeared to Jacob and asked him to move temporarily into Egypt; away from his destined inheritance Canaan. This period lasted for four hundred years. They returned to the land in the time of Moses.

When we walk with the Lord we must follow the voice of the Holy Spirit not dogma. God can even sometimes seem to give contrary instructions but in all that he will still be faithful to his word.

Keep on listening and follow th…

COMMANDS THAT BRING CHANGE (3)
We have been considering the story of how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Today we shall deal with the final command in this encounter: Loose him, and Let him Go!
"And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” John 11:44
Lazarus rose up at the command of Jesus and marched out of the tomb where he had being buried for 4 days. The gathering to mourn turned into a gathering of celebration.  Here was the Lord's command, "LOOSE HIM AND LET HIM GO." I hear the Lord saying the same thing to you and your situation. You are about to be loosed so you can advance.  Notice this; men had to take off the bandages of limitations they had placed on him in order to liberate him.
Men or society may have placed barriers on you because you were not qualified for a position, honour or job. That's about to change. You are getting loosed tod…

OUR GOD IS TOO MUCH – 2
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they?MATTHEW 6:26Even though God is too much, He doesn't just release His blessings because He has more than enough. Never think that, because God has too much, He has to automatically release it to you. You need a currency called ‘Faith' to access it. You must get the faith currency to buy what He has. This currency is what taps into God's abundance and bring to your disposal, the things you are looking for. Just as everything in the natural has a price tag, so it is with the supernatural, because the spirit created the natural. So, the natural is a reflection of the supernatural. You are not going to get it because you think you deserve it; you need to have faith to access it. That is why faith is a fight. In fact, the only fight we…

Main Text:
Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.Spiritual and mental growth empower us to contribute to the Body of Christ, increase it and make impact in the world. Financial power affects the ability of the Church to make impact. The areas of growth we have considered empower the church to realise its objective of fulfilling the Great Commission (John 6:5; Deuteronomy 8:18).Ephesians 4: 14-16 refers to spiritual growth but financial and physical growth can be implied. No one lives by himself or herself in the family, business or Body of Christ. DAUGHTERS
21st March 2019
READ: Mark 5:25-34
“…daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague” -  Mark 5:34
Jesus referred to ladies in two different  ways -  “woman”  or “daughter”.  If  I were a lady, I would prefer it if Jesus called me “daughter”.  I think a daughter is generally more receptive, more open and more humble.  As it is in the natural, a woman is someone who is not as easy to influence as a daughter is.
In the miracle involving the woman with the issue of blood, we see Jesus referring to this woman as a daughter! She had been able to tap into the anointing even though others around could not feel anything.
Perhaps, that is why Jesus referred to her as “daughter”.
You see, it is children who receive the most precious gifts from their parents. It is children and not equals who receive an inheritance from their fathers. When you receive someone as a father, you open yourself up to receive the ultimate gift from the person.

DEATH IS AN ENEMY BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

20th March, 2019

IPR DAILY DEVOTION

Topic: DEATH IS AN ENEMY

THEME SCRIPTURE:
1 Corinthians 15:26 (KJV)
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

MESSAGE:
Death is a spirit, just as hell is a spirit. Death is a servant of hell; its primary aim is to gather human souls to join Satan and his demons in hell. Those who die in the Lord do not go to hell; they go to heaven. Death operates by squeezing the physical body of its victims, and once the body organs stop functioning, the spirit is separated from the body. Physical death is said to have occurred when the spirit is separated from the physical body.

Spiritual death is when one is separated from God; it takes believing the gospel and confessing the Lordship of Jesus Christ for one to be reconciled to God. When one is reconciled to God, he/she is no longer spiritually dead, but spiritually alive, through Jesus Christ. However, the Scriptures warn us about “The second death.” For example, Revelation 2:11 (KJV) says, “He that hath a…

COMMANDS THAT BRING CHANGE (2)

I thank God for the opportunity to share His word with you today. We shall continue our discussions on Commands That Bring Change.

"Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth!”
John 11:43

Having arrived in Jerusalem, Jesus was taken to the tomb of Lazarus upon His request; defying Jewish laws that banned the priests and prophets from nearing tombs of the dead. His agenda was to show forth for glory of God (John 11:40).

At the tomb, Jesus cried with a loud voice: LAZARUS, COME FORTH. The miracle took place in the presence of the multitude who had gathered to mourn with the family of Lazarus. At the command of Jesus, he who was buried for 4 days came back to life.
Lazarus could represent:
1. That which you value intimately

2. That which brings you joy and fulfillment

3. That which gives meaning to your very existence.

The death of your Lazarus means all these are lost. That is not the will of God for you. He …

Why Judgment Belongs To God! By Kakra Baiden

KAKRA BAIDEN: AIR POWER DEVOTIONAL

Why Judgment Belongs To God!

One of the most complex things in life is passing judgment. For example, how do you judge two people who come from two different backgrounds? One can turn to crime and the other a good citizen, loving parent and Christian.

Sometimes, people are jailed wrongly and suffer unnecessarily because of wrong judgment. That’s why the ultimate judge of all is God. Since judgment is very complex, we are told to “judge nothing before the time.” The time is when God Himself comes to judge us all.

1 Corinthians 4:5
“Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.”

Judgment is difficult for two reasons.

1. We don’t have all the facts.
There are “hidden things,” which have to be taken into account.

2. God judges motives not actions.
No one can read the heart of man…

DISTANCE BY BISHOP DAG HEWARD-MILLS

DISTANCE

20th March 2019

READ: Mark 12:27-34

“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinner; and purify your hearts, ye double minded” - James 4:8

When something is physically close it does not mean that it is spiritually close. In other words, one thousand miles of distance in the natural does not mean one thou-sand miles in the spirit. Something may be next door in the natural but may be thousands of spiritual miles away.

This is why someone can be close to a spiritual person but not be affected by the anointing on his life. Someone else may be thousands of miles away, and receive a greater blessing than someone who is in the house. Jesus said, “A prophet is not accepted in his own home.” This means that the gifts of the prophets are unable to spiritually penetrate people who are physically nearby. Somehow the familiarity increases the spiritual distance between the anointed and the one to receive the anointing. (Matthew 13:57).

There is something like dist…

OUR GOD IS TOO MUCH – 1

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
PHILIPPIANS 4:19

The Babylon system we live in is trying to change our language. Faith is gradually fading out of the church. People are now making God their last choice; after they have tried all kinds of things and nothing happens, then they decide to turn to God at last. What a sad generation we find ourselves in; you are eating pig’s food when your father can throw you a party. The kingdom is so loaded that even if you decide to take your inheritance and waste it, the devil cannot stop you from bouncing back.
Let me tell you something; Our God is not enough; He is too much. Having enough means that it can still get finished but when you have too much, your account never runs dry. Our God is not enough, He is too much; is it money, He has too much of it, is it cars, He has too much of it, is it food, He has to…

Main Text:
Acts 4:32
And  with  great  power  gave  the  apostles witness  of  the  resurrection  of  the  Lord Jesus:  and great grace was upon them  all.

Believers are growing up to a new level or place. In the early Church, Heaven released great power and great grace upon the believers and they responded positively. The focal scripture reference, Acts 4:32-35, shows a heavenly release and earthly response. Whenever, heaven releases something, the earth must respond for the purposes of God to be fulfilled.

Earth needs to collaborate with heaven. As recorded in Genesis 28:11-22, the angels did not only descend the ladder connecting heaven and earth, they also ascended from earth to heaven; it wasn't one way. Heaven opened a portal on earth, Jacob built an altar in response, and God heard his prayer. The will …

COMMANDS THAT BRING CHANGE BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH

COMMANDS THAT BRING CHANGE

The story of how Jesus resurrected Lazarus is one of the most remarkable miracles in the Bible. Lazarus came back to life after four days when his body had started decomposing.

Jesus gave some commands that made this unusual miracle possible. We will consider the first one today:

ROLL AWAY THE STONE.
“Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them..."
John 11:39 NLT

Jesus had assured Martha that Lazarus would live again. While she thought of a futuristic resurrection, Jesus meant an immediate turnaround of the dead situation.
Having matched to the tomb, He instructed, "ROLL THE STONE ASIDE."
Stone, as used here signifies the limitations placed upon your life. It represents hindrances and barriers to your testimonies.

We noticed that those who put the stone at the tomb did it for a good reason. Mostly, self imposed limitations are based  on logic. You have assessed the situation and concluded based on factual, scientific and  deductive reasoning that you…

A DIFFERENT MINDSET BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

Topic: A DIFFERENT MINDSET
THEME SCRIPTURE:2 Corinthians 5:4 (NKJV)For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
MESSAGE:Have you ever felt the burden of the physical body on your recreated spirit? Have you ever known the weight of the body on the human soul? The vicissitudes of life can be so burdensome, some people despair of life itself and wish they had rather died; but that shouldn’t be the mindset of the believer in Christ.
Our theme Scripture paints a  picture of a different mindset that believers need to cultivate as we await the coming of Christ. We may groan as we feel the burden of the physical body on our inner man, but that doesn’t mean we desire to die; that’s what the Scripture meant by, “...not because we want to be unclothed.” Rather, we desire to be “further clothed.” The King James Version says, “...CLOTHED UPON.” In other words,…

DON’T CUT YOUR LIFE SHORT BY PROPHET NANASEI OPOKU-SARKODIE

DON’T CUT YOUR LIFE SHORTFor there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.JOB 14:7-9
The above scripture were the words of Job, a man who suffered so many calamities in his life. I can imagine him in the midst of all his troubles asking himself, “If a tree can have hope, why shouldn’t I have hope?” And you know, a tree represents life. No wonder, he was able to confidently say, “… All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” (Job 14:14 b)Hope is the fountain of every desired future. With hope, you can dream again and have a new beginning. Maybe you have looked at your past and now you are wondering, “What at all have I achieved.” It could be that your business,…

It is necessary to remind ourselves that apart from the spiritual areas of growth, the physical aspects of church growth are crucial to the impact believers can make. Physical and material growth is the development and expansion of infrastructure, facilities, resources, technology, qualified personnel, social amenities and structural organisation.
As the early Church trusted God to make impact numerically, it also grew materially to match its new status - they grew to another level (Acts 2:42, 45-47). It is difficult for a ministry to make impact beyond its physical and material growth especially at deprived places. A ministry …

Because Of The People
1 Chronicles 14:2“And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.”
Sometimes, when we are promoted, have become wealthy, powerful or married to someone for a long time we think we don’t need them anymore.
This is because at that point they may be dispensable and their role may not be critical. It is important we remember that God promotes us not because we are special but because of his people. He promotes us to advance the interests of “his people.”
Politicians gain power and sometimes turn round to abuse and exploit the very people who voted for them to be in power. When they are in power, they may fail to listen to the very people they claim they represent.
Some spouses abuse their partners as they grow old because maybe now; the kids are grown, they are financially strong and have met nicer, or fresher people.

Nothing Shall Hurt You

Nothing Shall Hurt You LUKE 10:19 NKJ 19 "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
If you will accept it and believe it, here is a promise of Jesus that will protect you from everything harmful.
The choice is yours. You can choose to believe it, and allow God to bring it to pass in your life. Or, you can refuse to believe it, live in doubt, and shut the door on what God desires in your life.
Someone might say, "But I just had an accident and my finger was cut off and it really hurt me."
No, the real you, is still intact. The real you is not really harmed. For the real you is not your body. The real you is the person who lives in your body.
So even if you were killed because of your testimony for Jesus Christ, the promise would still be true: it would not hurt YOU. You would simply be promoted to Heaven to be with Jesus.
(It would be wrong to limit the promise of …

SEXUAL SIN BY BISHOP DAG HEWARD-MILLS

SEXUAL SIN 19th March 2019
READ: Proverbs 5:15-23 “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:” - Romans 1:24 When  something that  is supposed to be done second is done first, many things go wrong.  At dinner with a pastor friend in another country, he gave an incredible account of the number of funerals that he was conducting in his city. He told us that the funerals were so many that no pastor had the time to attend all the funerals of the members. I listened in amazement. He went on and described how they no longer buried people in lying positions because there was no longer space for that in the cemetery. He described how they buried them vertically; standing up! I thought to myself, “In such a situation do you say ‘stand in peace’ or ‘rest in peace’?” What was the cause of the unprecedented wave of deaths in this country? Why were so many people dying? The answer is simple: The second thi…

OUR EARNEST DESIRE BY SAMUEL EXCELLENCE

18th March, 2019
IPR DAILY DEVOTION
Topic: OUR EARNEST DESIRE
THEME SCRIPTURE:2 Corinthians 5:1-2 (NKJV)[1] For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. [2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven.”
MESSAGE:I wonder whether the 21st Century  Church knows what the 1st Century Church knew about our heavenly habitation; and even if we know what they knew, whether we have the same earnest desire they had to be clothed with this habitation.
Remember, man is a spirit; he has a soul, and lives in a body. It’s the body which the verse 1 of our theme Scripture refers to as “our earthly house” or “this tent.” The hope of the believer is that, if our earthly house is destroyed, it isn’t the end of life; you needn’t worry about the wear and tear our bodies go through while we sojourn this world. So long as we live in this present evil world, the…

HE'S DOING A NEW THING BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH

HE'S DOING A NEW THING

“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."
Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19

Very often, we are guided by old experiences and events of our past. Many people have failed to venture into new areas because of a negative past experience. In this scripture, God wants the believer to disregard such history. He presents two things to forget or place minimal value on:
1. The former things.
2. The old experiences

These comprise bad and regrettable occurrences. Some of these may have ruined the plan for your life and left you nursing an emotional wound that knows no healing. God says forget them today because He intends to do A NEW THING.

This 'new thing' will be sporadic and will not involve human efforts. He aims to change your negative experiences into glorious ones. The new thing God does:
- Pu…

Awed By The Word!cr

KAKRA BAIDEN: AIR POWER DEVOTIONAL
Awed By The Word!
The word awe means to fear, to respect and to wonder. The appropriate response to the word of God is to stand in awe of it.Psalms 119:161-162“Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word”
Let's examine the word awe in detail. Respect the word We must see the importance of the word in our lives. You need a compass to navigate the vicissitudes of life. The word gives a coherent, tried and tested strategy for daily living. Without it we will have to resort to our own minds and it will certainly lead us astray.
Fear the wordWhen you don't fear the word you can easily break it. The word provides warnings and caution for many things. Until we fear the caution we can easily break them. For example, if you don't fear sin you will indulge in it.
Wonder at the word.Sometimes when I read the promises in God's word I find it hard to believe that such wonderful promises are our portion. This ama…
