Theme: Grow Up
Topic: Growing Up in Finances
Acts 4:30-35; Ephesians 4:10-16
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Spiritual and mental growth empower us to contribute to the Body of Christ, increase it and make impact in the world. Financial power affects the ability of the Church to make impact. The areas of growth we have considered empower the church to realise its objective of fulfilling the Great Commission (John 6:5; Deuteronomy 8:18).
Ephesians 4: 14-16 refers to spiritual growth but financial and physical growth can be implied. No one lives by himself or herself in the family, business or Body of Christ. Your financial growth affects someone else and your failure to grow also affects someone.
The body can only increase if every part of the body is growing. Your head cannot refuse to grow when your legs are growing. Your shoulders don’t grow without a corresponding growth of your neck. You will look funny if your eyeballs grow without the accompanying increase of the eye socket. It is selfish not to grow financially or spiritually. One who refuses to grow causes an entire system great discomfort.
1. Pray that anything your hands find to do shall prosper.
2. Pray also for the action of your mental power to get wealth.
