Theme: Grow Up
Topic: Growing Up Together in Ministry
1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 4:10-16
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
In our world today, there are innumerable issues which require solutions, yet are not being solved. These situations have either been ignored, or humanity is having challenges with finding the solutions. "The secular world" is doing it's part to find solutions to these problems through medicine, philanthropy, technology, etc. The Church as a Body cannot take a back seat in the provision of solutions to the questions of life.
Believers are called to minister to other believers in the Body of Christ and to the world with their character and the gifts of the Holy Ghost. We are to grow up in our ability to minister to the Body of Christ and the world. Ministering only to the Body of Christ is not enough, neither is finding solutions to the problems of the world. We are to do both, as the light of the world and salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13-15, Ephesians 5:8).
People in the secular world improve their skills and character so as to make impact on the world and serve humanity. It is important for the Church to grow in its ability to minister to the world and solve the numerous problems around us.
Pray that the Holy Ghost will impart into you the wisdom to offer solutions to your community, church, organisation, etc.
