INHERITING ETERNAL LIFE (How to make it to Heaven) BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH

INHERITING ETERNAL LIFE

(How to make it to Heaven)

#SamKorankyeAnkrah

Our ultimate goal as Christians is to make it to heaven when the trumpet sounds at the second coming of Jesus Christ. Here is what Jesus teaches that will qualify us.

1. Innocent Children

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Mark 10:14, NIV)

According to Jesus, children will inherit the Kingdom of God as they are too young to willfully accept and understand the death and resurrection of Christ. Our job is not to be pedantic and argue what the cut off age is, because there are weightier matters at hand.

2. Sinless, perfect, holy people

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone." (Mark 10:18, NIV)

Another way to enter heaven is to be perfectly stainless of any kind of sin. Now it is difficult to imagine there are individuals like this who exist in the 21st century. A person who does not succumb to even a “white lie” or one who never “steals” company time by doing something other than work. In any case, Jesus has assured us that our standard of good, falls short of God's standards.

3. Following Jesus

“One thing you lack,” Jesus said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” (Mark 10:21, NIV)

If like me and you have failed on the two options above, I recommend to you the third one; following Jesus. Our entire belief system is based on this Man. Christianity is to be Christ-like. Accept that Jesus Christ came to die for your sins and believe that he resurrected on the third day, currently interceding for you on the right hand of the father. Study His ways and wisdom. Go through each day aiming to be like Him. This is the surest way to inherit eternal life.

I love you and I'm praying for you.

Topic: Attaining One Spirit - One Baptism 2

Scripture Reading:
Numbers 11:1-6; Romans 6:1-4; Ephesians 4:1-4

Main Text:
Ephesians 4:3-4
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your  calling;

Though the people of Israel were baptised unto Moses, they failed to tame their appetite from lusting after the food they ate in Egypt. Their lust produced rebellion in them and they murmured against God (Numbers 11:4-6). Carnal believers with uncircumcised hearts occupy church pews and crave for the things of the world, which they are supposed to have been weaned from. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life control them because  they have not died to the  flesh in baptism. If we  are dead to the self we  are supposed to overcome the lust for the things of the world (1 John 2:15-17). Apart from water baptism, be…

Ephesians 4:15-16
15  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. The Church is the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We are in the world for the purpose of providing solutions to problems and bringing about transformation. We do these things through spiritual avenues and physical acts of intervention.Believers minister to the Body of Christ and the world at different levels. God gives us big or small responsibilities depending on our levels of maturity. Jesus Christ’s disciples asked Him why they could not cast the demon o…
