INHERITING ETERNAL LIFE (Salvation) BY SAM KORANKYE ANKRAH

INHERITING ETERNAL LIFE

(Salvation)

#SamKorankyeAnkrah

So far this week we have been discussing Salvation and entering into heaven. Here are some wisdom quotes for your thoughts.

- Salvation is not a reward for righteousness but it is a gift for the guilty.

- Salvation is not rooted in the merit of men but it is rooted in the mercy of God.

- Salvation is not in the goodness of men but in the gracefulness of God.

These point to the same reasoning that you are not saved because you are special, or have been in church all your life, or because you donate to a charity. Salvation is a gift of grace!

Being saved is not a right but a privilege. You can never earn salvation by following a set of rules and laws. It comes by your willingness to accept that you are not perfect and submit yourself to the mercy of Jesus Christ.

Hear Apostle Paul: “Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.” (Galatians 2:16, NLT)

Today, wherever you are, I want you to make the decision and say a salvation prayer with me.

Prayer

Dear Lord, I thank you for sending your Son to die for me and take away my sins. Today I ask you into my heart, to be my Lord and personal Saviour. From this day, I am yours, now and forever more, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Topic: Attaining One Spirit - One Baptism 2

Scripture Reading:
Numbers 11:1-6; Romans 6:1-4; Ephesians 4:1-4

Main Text:
Ephesians 4:3-4
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your  calling;

Though the people of Israel were baptised unto Moses, they failed to tame their appetite from lusting after the food they ate in Egypt. Their lust produced rebellion in them and they murmured against God (Numbers 11:4-6). Carnal believers with uncircumcised hearts occupy church pews and crave for the things of the world, which they are supposed to have been weaned from. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life control them because  they have not died to the  flesh in baptism. If we  are dead to the self we  are supposed to overcome the lust for the things of the world (1 John 2:15-17). Apart from water baptism, be…

15  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. The Church is the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We are in the world for the purpose of providing solutions to problems and bringing about transformation. We do these things through spiritual avenues and physical acts of intervention.Believers minister to the Body of Christ and the world at different levels. God gives us big or small responsibilities depending on our levels of maturity. Jesus Christ’s disciples asked Him why they could not cast the demon o…
