Theme: Grow Up
Topic: Levels of Ministering
Matthew 17:14-21; 1 Corinthians 12:1-11; Ephesians 4:10-16
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
The Church is the light of the world and the salt of the earth. We are in the world for the purpose of providing solutions to problems and bringing about transformation. We do these things through spiritual avenues and physical acts of intervention.
Believers minister to the Body of Christ and the world at different levels. God gives us big or small responsibilities depending on our levels of maturity. Jesus Christ’s disciples asked Him why they could not cast the demon out of the boy. Jesus responded that it was because of their unbelief. He coached them to use fasting and prayer as the weapon to dislodge demons (Matthew 17:14-21). The disciples were not spiritually developed enough to handle the challenge at hand.
Those who have big faith and have prepared themselves through fasting and prayer are entrusted with the responsibility of dealing with bigger demonic problems and challenges. For example, Jesus Christ who was spiritually stronger than His disciples cast out a demon, they could not deal with.
1. Pray for the grace to grow in your level of faith.
2. Pray also for the passion to grow in your level of ministering.
