Theme: Grow Up

Topic: The Family: Place of Identify and Blessings

Scripture Reading:
Genesis 1:26-28; Ephesians 4:10-16

Main Text:
Proverbs 3:33
The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
A strong family identity helps children develop a strong and healthy self-identity. Knowing what makes their family unique — traditions, values, time together — gives children a clear starting point for discovering their own place in the world. Studies even show that children who report a strong connection to family tend to be less promiscuous and face less risk of drug and alcohol abuse. Your children regard your presence as a sign of caring and connectedness. Your presence gives them a greater sense of security than almost anything else you can offer them.

When kids understand that their parents are there for them, they can overcome amazing obstacles to make a positive impact in their world. Family traditions build family memories. They nurture the sense of belonging that makes up an identity in families. Shared values – what are the things you believe in -  faith, sexual purity, relationships and character? Instill them in your family. God is interested in the families of believers raising a godly heritage. One day we will stand before God, by tribes, kindred, language (Revelation 7:9).

Before then, we must fill the earth with His image - God-fearing, morally-mature, emotionally-sound, Spirit-filled, righteousness-working, God-worshiping young people who, in turn, will do the same after they become parents. The Lord takes interest in the family of the righteous (Genesis 12:1-3; 18:19). He blesses it. He brings His peace upon them –It shall be a place peace and security; your habitation shall be fruitful and productive; it shall be marked by unity; a place where people will find support, and strength. Your home will never suffer lack or insufficiency. But the Lord shall be the Lord of the family.

1. Pray for the grace and discernment to define the right positive identify for your family.
2. I pray for you that as an individual and a family as a whole, you'll not miss the purpose and blessings of God for you. Declare this prayer upon your family.

Scripture Reading:
Acts 13:19-22; Genesis 1:26-28

Acts 13:22
22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. From yesterday's devotional, we know that Without  purpose, life  is meaningless  and  unfulfilling. It is important for you to discover the purpose for which you were created,  blessed  and  anointed, and that God definitely created you for a purpose. God  anoints  you for a purpose.  Purpose  is  the  reason for the anointing.  Without purpose the anointing is either  wasted or abused. It is needful to also note that God  anoints people for a  purpose. You are  anointed to serve God  and touch people’s lives.  A powerful anointing  produces supernatural  results in others. God  anointed King David,  a  man after His…

Without purpose, life  is meaningless and unfulfilling. It is important for you to discover the purpose for which you were created,  blessed and anointed.  Purpose is not the prerogative of  a privileged few in the world – everybody should know his or her purpose in life.God created you for a purpose. The Seven Spirits of God By Rev Eastwood Anaba

Topic: The Seven Spirits of God
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 11:1-2; Luke 4:1-19
Main Text:
Revelation 4:5
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
In  Isaiah  11:1-2, the  prophet Isaiah describes the seven-fold nature of the Spirit of the LORD who would rest on the Messiah. The Holy Ghost rests upon you with His perfect nature to subdue your human nature. His seven-fold nature overwrites your human inadequacies. His nature is superior to your human nature. He is what and who you are not. He does what you cannot do and gives what you cannot give.
In the book of  Revelation, John referred to the seven Spirits of God (Revelation 4:5). There is only one Holy Ghost so the term seven Spirits of God refers to the seven-fold character of the Holy Ghost. There is one Spirit with a seven-fold characterisation. Isaiah 11…
